NIVDIA is not Impressed with the benefits of DirectX12

The industry is excited about the new API and talking about its features, but on the other side NVIDIA is showcasing unhappy statements related to one of the first technical tests of DirectX12, the API that promises to revolutionize the performance of PC games. We may be exaggerating, but let the facts blow.

NVIDIA is not impressed with the benefits of DirectX12 in Ashes of the Singularity

Ashes
Oxide Games has worked in both technical demos for DirectX12 and Mantle till now, this time with the game Ashes of the Singularity, an RTS with high number of units on screen, like the Star Swarm demo.
Everything was promising until rumors that the benchmark Ashes of the Singularity was walking less than expected in the API of Microsoft, and worse, when NVIDIA went on to declare that it was not a reliable test began to appear.
“The benchmark alpha run a number of pre-selected scenes and give a score at the end to show how well your system ran this series of scenes. The game looks intriguing, but this benchmark is useful alpha, in a first step, to understand how your system runs a series of scenes from the alpha version of Ashes of the Singularity.

We believe there will be better examples of true performance of DirectX12, and continue to work with Microsoft in the DX12 API, games and benchmarks. Architecture and GeForce drivers for DX12 performance does not compare to anything – when metrics reach DX12 accurate, history will be the same as it was with DX11 “.
Obviously Oxide Games had an answer for such contempt, but they took it quite calmly, talking about the latest API and drivers, but also ensuring that Ashes of the Singularity is a real test of DirectX 12.
“It must be considered that way because the game has not yet been made public, is not a legitimate test. While optimizations are done, Ashes of the Singularity is in pre-beta stage yy is already more optimized than most games released. What is the point of optimizing code six months after a title is released, after all? Certainly, things will change a bit to launch. But PC games with digital updates are always changing, and certainly not stop us from making major changes after the launch, if we feel it improves the game. “
We are all desperate to see how this new API of Microsoft Works.
